Have you accidentally deleted the “Show Desktop” icon on your quick launch toolbar? Re-create it in 4 simple steps:
1. Open notepad
2. Copy and paste the follwing code in notepad
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
3. Save the file as “Show desktop.scf”, you will see the file automatically gets converted to the show desktop icon.
4. Drag the file to your quick launch toolbar.
Thats it the show desktop icon is restored.
Windows logo key + D can also be used to show desktop using the keyboard.
